You need a high level of English to start an undergraduate or postgraduate course. If you need to improve your English language skills, you can take an English Pre-Sessional course. If you also need to improve your subject-specific knowledge, you can take an International Foundation Programme (IFP) or an International Pre-Masters course. Our specialist English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses offer a combination of English language, academic skills and subject content, integrating English programmes and subject programmes, and enable you to communicate effectively in an academic institution.
UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires that applicants from countries outside the UK show evidence of a minimum level of English language (called B2 level) in order to be granted a tier four student visa to study here for any degree programme. Visit our web pages for international students for more information.
Our team of experienced tutors understand that adjusting to a new culture can be a challenge for international students. That’s why all our classes cover topics on UK culture, the local area, English as a global language and much more. You’ll also be a full member of the University of Bolton. This means you’ll have our full support and have complete access to all our academic, social and welfare services. By the time you finish your course you’ll have the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to succeed on a degree at the University of Bolton.
