Continuing Professional Development

Undertaking continuing professional development (CPD)is a fundamental requirement of all professionals and staff working within health and social care. CPD enables you to gain the knowledge and skills to improve your practice and ensure that you keep up to date with the latest developments within your practice area. It is also a requirement for revalidation for those affiliated with a professional regulatory body and therefore helps to evidence commitment to ensuring your practice is up to date. At the University of Bolton, we offer a wide range of opportunities for you to undertake accredited CPD modules which you can do as a stand-alone module, or you may choose to work towards an academic award such as a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma or Master of Science. Whatever you choose, our designated CPD Team are here to advise you of your options and support you on your academic journey. Come and join us on our virtual drop-in sessions on the first Wednesday of every month throughout the year.
