Dental technology is one of the most popular and lucrative areas of dentistry where dental technicians design and construct dental appliances to improve people’s teeth. With the increasing patient demand, the need for educated and skilled dental technicians has never been greater.
By studying one of our General Dental Council (GDC) approved dental technology degrees at our £4.8 million Centre for Dental Sciences at the University of Bolton, you will have the competitive edge required to excel in this field. Our programmes lead to professional registration as a Dental Care Professional.
The course is part of the Faculty of Health and Well-Being and has been developed to meet the needs of the industry. Students get to undertake rigorous work-based learning placements, and in the final year you can to choose a preferred discipline and undertake a specialised module.
While studying for the dental technology degree you will experience facilities including:
