The Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research & Innovation visited the University of Bolton on Friday 17 January.
The Rt Hon Chris Skidmore MP was welcomed by the University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor George E. Holmes DL, who then showed him around the state of the art campus facilities.
In attendance were Bolton‘s three MPs, Chris Green (Bolton West), Mark Logan (Bolton North East) and Yasmin Qureshi (Bolton South East).
The Minister discussed further future developments for the university that would benefit Bolton, as part of the government’s agenda for the North of England.
He also visited the National Centre Motorsport Engineering building where he had the chance to talk with students who demonstrated their work.
Prof Holmes said: “We were delighted to show the Minister around our great University and I am sure he went away with a very favourable impression of the facilities, the staff, and our students.”
