You need only look at social media to see how attractive entrepreneurship is as a career path to young people today. Every day there are new Instagram pages, TikTok accounts, and YouTube channels selling both the lifestyle and the skill set of successful social entrepreneurs.
But does one become an entrepreneur? The Business Management (Enterprise) BSc could be the answer.
An increasingly popular choice
Recent University research found that 61% of students surveyed were either ‘considering entrepreneurship’ (21%) or actively wanting to become entrepreneurs (40%) after graduation, compared to just 5% who wanted to become employees, or 19% who were ‘considering employment’.
Statistics such as these show the changing goals of young people today, with a focus on independence and financial freedom being the key drivers in their career choices.
