Gina Lewis

Work-Based Apprenticeship Trainer (WBAT)

Gina began her NHS career in 2015 after qualifying as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) and worked for 6 years as an Anaesthetic & Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) practitioner. During this time Gina took on an education role within the theatre department and gained a PGCert in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice.

Keen to develop a career in higher education, Gina joined the University of Bolton in 2021 as the first Work-Based Apprenticeship Trainer (WBAT) on the ODP programme where she supports apprenticeship learners both at the university and out in clinical practice.
