A Degree Apprenticeship lets you earn a full undergraduate or master’s degree while you work. Typically, you’ll spend 80% of your time working and 20% training either on campus or doing project work to support your studies. Best of all, your study is paid for by the government or your employer, so unlike a full-time degree course, you won’t have to pay for your tuition yourself and you’ll earn a competitive salary while learning.

A Degree Apprenticeship enables you to gain a full undergraduate or master’s degree and earn while you learn. You will spend most of the time working and part-time at university studying for your degree.
You will need your English and Maths GCSE Grade C Or above a 4. For certain courses, you may need additional qualifications or certificates. If this is the case, we’ll let you know before enrolling on the course.
Yep! For a Degree Apprenticeship, you will need an employer who is willing to support you through your programme. Your employer can email our team to begin the process or answer any questions they may have at apprenticeships@bolton.ac.uk.
No, your Apprenticeship is funded by your employer, you do not have to pay anything.
It can vary depending on the course you are on, but on average, you will be required to come to the university 1 day per week to attend classes with your tutor. .
Yes, you can do another one at a higher level. For example, if you have undertaken a Level 5 in healthcare, you can take a Level 6 once you have fully completed your previous Apprenticeship and are signed off.
