The aim of the centre is to work closely with current services and offer support to the local communities in the Farnworth, Bolton, Radcliffe and Bury areas.
The centre accepts referrals dealing with a wide range of social issues, through self-referral and referral from other services.
Dr Martina Kirlew, Head of the social work centre said “The Social Work Centre has a vision to create links and working partnerships which will strengthen and boost the range of support services available for the local communities to access.”
The centre provides members of the public with an online portal where they can register their enquiry.
“All our students are closely supervised by an experienced and qualified team of social workers whilst they carry out a range of work including advocacy work, support work and outreach work with public, private and charity services to ensure that the help we can offer will be of the highest standard.”
