Wendy Hope

Lecturer in Nursing

Wendy has worked in the NHS as a registered general nurse for 35 years and is educated to Masters level with a registered teaching qualification.

Her clinical roles have been diverse ranging from medicine, surgery to public health and commissioning. She demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the NHS systems from its delivery to patients through to the commissioning of its services.

In previous roles she has been actively involved in the development of policy, protocols and procedures. She is experienced in leadership and working at a senior level. She is confident in chairing and contributing to meetings at a high level.

During her NHS career Wendy became an experienced line manager, leader, trainer and teacher. She developed significant experience in delivering training on relevant specialist areas to clinicians, managers and staff at all levels.

Outside of the NHS Wendy ran her own training company for 5 years specialising in Immunisation and vaccination.

More recently Wendy has developed her skills as an academic and personal tutor within The University of Bolton.

Public Health

Immunisation, Disease, Professionalism and NHS commissioning.
