A former graduate of the University of Bolton, achieving first-class honours from the BDes Special Effects Development degree, graduating in 2011, Jack has been working for the university in a teaching capacity from 2013.
Proficient in 3D printing techniques (FDM & SLA), wood and metalwork, it’s these skills that have lent themselves to Jack teaching on the Special Effects for Film and TV as well as the Modelmaking for Film & TV courses. His main areas of focus revolve around the implementation of engineering principles to aid in creative problem solving tasks within Special Effects.
Jack’s continued passion to stay up-to-date with prototyping technologies is what he would consider to be a strength in keeping the students ‘industry-ready’ for when they leave us and successfully gain employment in the film industry.
