The University of Bolton is offering a free two-week Summer Fun Sports Camp for adults.The Summer School will run from 14-25 August and is for anyone over the age of 18 from a disadvantaged group.The University has partnered with Bolton Wanderers in the Community and former BWFC player and Sports Consultant Dean Holdsworth to deliver some of the coaching sessions.As well as the organised sessions, accommodation will be free at the Orlando Halls of Residence, just outside the town centre.Professor Zubair Hanslot, Provost of the University of Bolton, said: “The University of Bolton is committed to supporting the local community and we are delighted to offer this special fortnight Summer School.“The Vice Chancellor, Professor George Holmes DL, has given a clear mandate to help pave opportunities for the communities that we serve. There will be a host of exciting and interesting activities for people to get involved in and learn from.“It gives people the opportunity to use the summer to play sport, make friends and spend some time away from home in university halls.“I would urge anyone who meets the criteria to contact us as soon as possible to book a place, as numbers are limited.”To register, please email your contact details, attaching proof of age and address before 9 August.The University will contact you if you qualify for a free space on the Summer School programme.
