The University of Bolton has been rated best in the North West for teaching in the National Student Survey 2023.The University scored 87.4 per cent, well ahead of its sector benchmark and higher than all the other 11 universities in the region.The NSS posed the following questions to students for the theme ‘Teaching on my course’: 1. How good are teaching staff at explaining things? (90.6 per cent of University of Bolton students gave a positive response) * How often do teaching staff make the subject engaging? (85.8 per cent) * How often is the course intellectually stimulating? (85.9 per cent) * How often does your course challenge you to achieve your best work? (87.1 per cent)It is the seventh year running that the University of Bolton has scored the highest percentage overall in Greater Manchester.Professor George E Holmes DL, President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, said: “The staff at this university have excelled once again.
