University of Bolton logos on hallowed turf as pitch sponsor for Bolton Wanderers Football Club

The University of Bolton's logo is pitch perfect!

Our familiar logo is now permanently imprinted along two sides of Wanderers’ in-stadia pitch after we became the club's official Pitch Sponsor as part of a three-year deal.

The University had previously taken on BWFC’s stadium naming rights from July 2018 to July 2023.

Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers said: “We are thrilled to continue our long and valued relationship with the University of Bolton for another three years.

“During the Club’s most difficult years, the University's loyal support proved a lifeline for Bolton Wanderers. In addition, we are incredibly proud to have such a successful and thriving University in our town and we look forward to the many ways we will continue to work together in these coming years."

Professor George E Holmes DL DSc, President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, said: "The University and BWFC are two of the oldest organisations in Bolton and both are central to the future prosperity of the town and more importantly to the health and wellbeing of local people.

"The links between our students and the club have always been important. As the University expands its physiotherapist programmes and our new medical school, we hope to work closely with the club on fitness and wellbeing.

"The University of Bolton is proud to have stood with Bolton Wanderers FC. We are all willing the club to achieve further success.”
