University of Bolton Facilities team presents £1,000 to children's charity

University Facilities staff handed over £1,000 to the 'When You Wish Upon A Star' charity raised through a raffle on campus.

Robert Varley, Cleaning Team Leader, Facilities Management, presented the money to Megan Finch, the charity's North West Community Fundraiser.

Megan said: "This is an incredible amount of money and we are so grateful for it.

"It will be used for some of the wishes we have across the region. Thanks to everyone at the University."

Robert, who organised the raffle for the charity, which was set up to make sick children's dreams come true, said: "We are so grateful to everyone throughout the University who has supported this brilliant charity.

"Thanks also to everyone from the Facilities team who gave up their time to sell tickets - £1,000 is an amazing amount."

First prize was a mountain bike with helmet and lock, second prize, a luxury hamper, third, a signed Bolton Wanderers football and fourth prize, three bottles of wine.
