The University of Bolton will host a Postgraduate Open Evening on Wednesday 13 March from 4-7pm.

For anyone thinking about a career change, going for a promotion or considering their next steps after graduation, this drop-in event is an unmissable opportunity to take control of their future career.

Visitors will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore the benefits of postgraduate study
  • Learn the facts about postgraduate funding and loans
  • Find out more about the wide range of courses specifically designed with industry and career progression in mind

In today’s fast-paced job market, postgraduate courses can help graduates gain the additional edge they need to stand out.

Syeda Fatima, an MSc Accountancy with Financial Management student, said: “I decided to study a Postgraduate degree straight after graduation to expand my subject knowledge and expertise, to help me become a more skilled professional. The flexibility offered has been extremely beneficial in maintaining a balanced lifestyle while pursuing Higher Education.”

Julie Bateman, Director of Jobs for Students at the University of Bolton, said: “Undertaking a postgraduate qualification allows students to learn specialist knowledge, industry best practice and transferable skills such as project management, teamwork and advanced research skills.

“As the labour market continues to change amidst developing technologies, we are committed to providing our students with the additional and advanced skills to help set them apart from the competition.

“This investment in the future prepares our students to transition into their desired career. Don’t forget – graduates with advanced qualifications can often command higher salaries.”

The University’s academic staff, as well as student support, admission teams and funding experts will be on hand throughout the evening to speak directly to prospective students to answer any questions.
