What Are The Most In-Demand Cyber Security Jobs Right Now?

02/11/2021

We live in a world that is heavily reliant on technology, and data security is more important than ever as a consequence. Protecting our digital assets, programs, and data has become critical now that everything is stored online. Cyber security specialists play a critical role in the security of organisations and businesses, and you can play a key role in this as well.

It is estimated that the cost of cybersecurity is going to reach £7.5 trillion around the world this year. As a consequence, there are going to be plenty of job opportunities both now and in the future. Some of the most in-demand cyber security jobs at the moment are as follows:

Ethical hacker

An ethical hacker, also known as a penetration hacker, will hack into a company’s systems but they do so for ethical reasons, i.e. to find any vulnerabilities so that they can be patched up before a real hacker exploits them.

Information security analyst

An information security analyst has the responsibility of creating strategies and plans to prevent cyber attacks. They essentially protect sensitive data, ensuring that policies are being adhered to.

Network engineer

A network engineer is responsible for dealing with computer networks. They set up networks, look after them, and provide technical support to network users.

Blockchain developer

Blockchain developers design and develop innovative systems as a response to hacking and other challenges like this. It is their job to make sure that digital transactions are secure by recording and storing blockchain data utilising secure methods, like cryptography.
