If you are not yet ready to invest in an intern or longer-term placement student, there are still ways that you can connect with our students.

Taking on a work experience student is a good way to get extra, short-term support into your business. Students could solve a small problem, tackle low priority but impactful jobs or undertake research using their specialist skills and knowledge. There is no cost to you and your admin will be minimal.

Volunteering

Is your not-for-profit organisation or charity looking to recruit volunteers? If so, we could help.

We actively encourage students and graduates to take part in volunteering, because we recognise that it can help them develop the skills and experience employers are looking for whilst also doing something positive for their local community.

We also have a way of formally recognising volunteering through the Bolton Award. This Award is recorded on the Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) which students receive when they graduate, so it can boost their CV and is an added incentive to get involved.

All of our volunteering opportunities are managed and overseen by our Students Union.
