Uchenna Moses

President of Bolton Students’ Union

Uchenna Victor Moses is a distinguished alumnus of the Greater Manchester Business School, having successfully completed his MSc in International Management. His remarkable journey is characterized by notable accomplishments, leadership roles, and a deep commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity within the university community.

During his time as a Student Employment Champion-International, Uchenna's collaborative efforts, supported by his mentor Charlotte and Steve, paved the way for the establishment of the Diversity Careers in the Student Hub. This initiative was instrumental in promoting equal opportunities for all students, irrespective of their backgrounds. Furthermore, Uchenna served as the Deputy Chairman of the International Student Community and actively contributed to the African and Caribbean Society, garnering a nomination for the esteemed Outstanding Society Member of the Year award. Additionally, his outstanding performance as a Student Employment Champion merited a certificate of appreciation from the Careers Service, acknowledging his exceptional dedication and surpassing expectations.

Uchenna possesses a profound passion for various causes, including effective leadership, inclusion and diversity, nuclear disarmament, and climate and environmental sustainability. Currently, he is actively engaged in the University's sustainability initiative, POWA (Pledge, Observe, Act, and Win). This visionary program aims to forge partnerships with businesses and stakeholders, working collaboratively to protect the environment and promote a culture of healthy living.

As President, Uchenna's key objectives revolve around nurturing strategic partnerships with the University to enhance the overall student experience. He is resolute in his commitment to bolstering democracy within the Students' Union, cultivating a robust alumni network, and fostering an environment that empowers students for future employability.

Uchenna's aspiration to assume the role of President stems from his deep sense of pride for the University of Bolton and the invaluable support he received from the faculty and staff during his academic journey. He seeks to reciprocate this support by making a meaningful contribution to his alma mater and leaving a lasting legacy that further strengthens the university's standing as a premier institution of higher education.
