Marie Greenhalgh

Lecturer

Marie qualified as a Registered Children’s Nurse in 1998, she commenced her first role as a staff nurse on the children’s unit at Fairfield General Hospital, where she consolidated her nurse training and gained experience and developed her role and successfully applied for the role of a senior staff nurse.

Marie developed a passion for health promotion and education and this led to her completing the Specialist Community Practitioner (SCPHN) in 2003, which incorporated the V100 non-medical prescribing qualification.

Marie has since worked as a Health Visitor in various trusts and this further developed her passion for health promotion and education, public health and safeguarding. Marie enjoyed her role as a mentor to student nurses whilst in practice and this led to her pursuing a career in higher education in 2022.
Marie currently works as a lecturer on the TNA programme and is joint module lead for NRS4008 (Anatomy & Physiology & The Foundations of Medicines Management).
