Lucy Bradshaw

Lecturer in Nursing

Lucy qualified as a registered nurse with a Diploma in Adult Nursing at Coventry University in 2001. She relocated to Bolton in 2001 starting a career in Ophthalmology and Theatres. During this time Lucy expanded her academic and clinical portfolio by completed several continuing professional development modules in anaesthetics, recovery and ophthalmic nursing at The University of Manchester.

Lucy has worked in a number of senior positions in the NHS and in 2021 she completed a BSc in Business Management: Health and Social Care and was awarded Chartered Manager status.

Lucy joined the University of Bolton in 2021 as a full-time lecturer, completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and Professional Practice. Lucy is currently completing a MA in Education.

Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms: Leadership, senior management in the NHS and continuing professional development, organisational change, advances in digital technology in the NHS, neurodiversity in education.

Teaching specialisms; Non- medical prescribing, leadership, clinical skills, ophthalmology, frailty, gynecology and early pregnancy, clinical governance and risk management.
