Dr Eugen Harinda

Lecturer in Computing

Dr Eugen Harinda is a lecturer in Computing. He graduated with BSc (Honours, with Distinction) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Rwanda in 2007 and an MSc (with Distinction) in Communication Network Planning and Management from the University of Portsmouth in 2012. His PhD from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2022 was awarded for the research entitled "Performance Analysis and Heuristic Modelling of LoRa Urban Air Channel".
Dr Eugen Harinda's awards include a "Top MSc Student Prize" from the University of Bolton and a prestigious "Commonwealth Scholarship".
He has over 10 years of teaching and research experience and 8 years of industry experience in IT and Telecom Regulation. He is an Associate HEA.


Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms:

Machine Learning and the Internet of Things.


Teaching specialisms;

Machine learning, Networks, Big data Analytics, Internet of Things


Publications and Research:

He has published several conferences and journal articles on the Internet of Things connectivity and Machine Learning. His ORCID is https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8051-2281.
