Situated on the outskirts of Accrington, Accrington and Rossendale College is a tertiary college with four main campus buildings. The Higher Education provision is housed in the Broad Oak Centre. Accrington and Rossendale College has provided Higher Education for over 20 years. In recent years, Accrington and Rossendale have invested over 320 million in the Broad Oak Campus to build a campus truly worthy of the 21st century.
In November 2018, Accrington and Rossendale College merged with Nelson and Colne College incorporating Lancashire Adult Learning to create a combined force for greater opportunities.
Accrington and Rossendale College offer foundation degrees in Health and Social Care and Early Years (Childhood Studies) and a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies top-up in partnership with the University of Bolton. All courses are offered on a full-time basis, with work-based learning being a key feature. The combined commitment to authentic and engaging learning experiences for diverse learners allows for the cultivation of well-rounded, passionate graduates, who are both confident and competent members of their sector.
