University of Bolton, why we are the right choice

Dr. Abdurahman Salem graduated from the University of Tripoli Dental School in 2004. He is currently a Lecturer in Dentistry at the University of Greater Manchester, Queen’s Dental Sciences Centre (QuDeSC).
After earning his dental degree, Dr. Salem practiced as a general dentist in various clinics in his hometown, Tripoli, Libya. He later moved to the UK to pursue advanced studies, earning a Master’s in Bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. Building on this foundation, he completed a PhD in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Dundee, where he also obtained a Master’s in Management.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Salem gained valuable experience in management and administration while working with NHS Lothian, where he contributed to the efficient delivery of healthcare services. He later joined Queen’s Dental Sciences Centre at the University of Greater Manchester.
As a dedicated academic and researcher, Dr. Salem has cultivated a strong focus on dental biomaterials, oral health, and dental education. He has been involved in numerous research projects, resulting in several publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.
Beyond his academic and professional roles, Dr. Salem is a member of the Oman Dental College Research and Ethics Committee, where he plays a vital role in ensuring the ethical governance of research initiatives. His contributions continue to drive advancements in dentistry and education.
