Daryl Wright

Lecturer

Daryl graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Literature (1996), before completing a PGCE with QTS (1997). He worked as a Secondary English (and Humanities) teacher for 17 years, completing a master's in Creative Writing during this time. A successful classroom practitioner for GCSE and A-level qualifications, he has also fulfilled additional responsibilities as Key Stage 3 Coordinator and Lead Teacher for Gifted and Talented students.

Daryl worked at Manchester Metropolitan University from 2014, predominantly as an English specialist on the PGCE Secondary programme, including Professional Practice studies. He also taught across additional Education programmes, with Primary PGCE students and undergraduates. From September 2016, Daryl has worked as a lecturer on the PGCE 14+ programme at the University of Bolton, with both full and part-time students. He is a personal tutor to students on these programmes.
