The University of Bolton offers the following postgraduate scholarships to its applicants.
Masters Excellence Scholarship
The Masters Excellence Scholarship is worth £1000 and will be awarded to full-time U.K. and EU Masters students, irrespective of their financial means, who progress to a University of Bolton Masters Course.

Eligibility
Up to £1000 will be paid towards your tuition fees and to be eligible you must demonstrate the following:

you are a home (UK or EU) student that is self funded and paying full tuition fees

you must have been awarded a First-Class Honours Degree (or equivalent) from a UK or EU institution

you must be studying a full-time taught masters at the University of Bolton campus in Bolton
-
you must not be in receipt of any other offer, i.e. Alumni Discount or any other fee reduction
-
the course of study must have commenced in January 2011 or later
How to apply
In order to receive the scholarship towards fees students must have completed the Masters Excellence Scholarship application form|.

Please note the deadline for applications for courses commencing January 2013 is 28 February 2013.
Please note the deadline for applications for courses commencing September 2012 is 31 October 2012.
Notification of award
Students will be notified whether their application has been successful or not via their university email address.
The Finance Office will receive confirmation from the Excellence Scholarship team, that you are eligible and will adjust your invoice accordingly.
If you defer entry onto your course of study, you will need to re-apply for the Taught Masters Excellence Scholarship before commencement of your studies.
If you are not eligible for the Scholarship you can contact our University Student Funding Adviser on +44 (0)1204 903497 or email studentfunding@bolton.ac.uk| for advise on possible alternative sources of funding for postgraduate study.
Other conditions
Scholarships will not be paid to students undertaking industrial or work experience on a full time "sandwich" basis. Students studying abroad also will not be eligible to receive the Scholarship.
The Excellence Scholarship will be paid for first Taught Masters courses only, not second or subsequent courses.
