Take the wheel of a thrilling F1 race simulator at University of Bolton STEM showcase

The chance to experience the thrill of riding in an F1 racing car is on offer at the University of Bolton’s National Centre for Motorsport Engineering (NCME) on Saturday (13 April).

State-of-the-art simulators will recreate the excitement of driving a high-performance motor racing car around a track at the Racing Car Simulation Event and STEM Showcase, which runs from noon to 3pm and is free to attend.

The aim of the event is to demonstrate the cutting-edge teaching facilities and wide range of programmes on offer at NCME, which include motorsport and automotive performance engineering and electric vehicle technology.

Professor George E Holmes DL, President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, said: “We are engaged with STEM/technology employers to ensure we provide the skills for rewarding and sustainable careers and at NCME we are leading on many fronts.”
