Sian Walsh

Lecturer

Sian is a registered Children’s Nurse and Non-Medical Prescriber. She graduated from The University of Central Lancashire in 2011 with a BSc in Children’s Nursing.

Sian worked in the NHS until 2021, the majority of her nursing career was spent in London where she worked in a variety of clinical settings such as; Bone Marrow Transplant, Intensive Care, Accident and Emergency and finally Community Children’s Nursing. She has completed a number of CPD modules including; Nursing the High Dependency Child and a Diploma in Asthma care.

Sian completed her Non-Medical Prescribing in 2019 to support her role as a Children’s Asthma Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Sian joined the university in early 2021 and currently teaches on the BSc Child Nursing programme.
