Louise Oddy

Operating Department Practice Lecturer

Louise qualified as an adult nurse in 2011 with Bsc (hons). Straight after qualifying, Louise worked in theatres as an anaesthetic and recovery nurse for 9 years where she was mainly based in obstetrics and gynaecological theatres, working nights and weekends and covering the emergency bleep. Louise also rotated to all the other theatres in the hospital, working in orthopedics, general surgery and ENT.

Louise completed the anaesthetic course in 2020. She joined The University of Bolton as a pre – reg nursing lecturer in June 2023 and in September 2023 was appointed ODP Lecturer and has been working on this team, whilst also working closely with the CPD team, and module leading on the post – reg Proficiency in Perioperative Care: Anaesthetics which is run at level 6 and level 7.
