Emma Wielogorska

Lecturer

Emma is a registered adult nurse with clinical experience in urology and orthopedic care, gaining this experience at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

In 2017 Emma graduated with a first-class BSc Hons degree in Nursing. Upon qualification she quickly found a passion for teaching and supporting students in practice and completed a mentorship course enabling her to do this. Emma completed a master’s degree in nursing in 2019 and soon after was able to follow her passion by joining a trust education team providing support to Trainee Nursing Associates in clinical practice.

In 2022 Emma joined The University of Bolton Pre-Registration Nursing team going on to gain a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and obtained Fellowship of Higher Education status.

Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms:
• Transition to practice
• The hidden curriculum
• Academic boredom.

Teaching specialisms:
• Emma teaches on several modules of the Pre-Registration Nursing programme which have included Medicines Management and Leadership, Management and Quality in Healthcare.
• Emma is also co-module lead for Medicines Management.
