Bolton Students’ Union President leads ‘Euro Tour’ as part of graduate jobs campaign

Bolton Students’ Union President Uchenna Moses organised a ‘European tour’ for students as part of a campaign to think big about graduate job opportunities.

Uchenna said the ‘Euro Tour 2024/Graduate Job Campaign’ aimed to broaden horizons and help students gain valuable insight into the workings of government in Europe.

The group of 15 visited France, Luxembourg and Belgium, including the European Parliament in Brussels.

Uchenna said: “My aim is to instill in students a sense of curiosity and ambition and to encourage them to pursue opportunities across the globe.

“It is vital that students see themselves as global citizens, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in an interconnected world.”

At the EU Parliament, students learned about European democracy and decision-making processes.

Uchenna said that he and a team of students, alumni, and university staff planned to collaborate with career advisors and launch initiatives such as the Student Volunteers Project (SVP/S) to help create opportunities in the job market.

He said: “We aim to inspire the leaders of tomorrow while reinforcing the University of Bolton's dedication to excellence and innovation.”
