Counselling Service

University life can be stressful. All students experience some stress whilst at university, perhaps as a result of the pressures of study, finance, relationships, living away from home for the first time or more personal matters. Coping with these things is a normal part of university life. But, while you may prefer to sort things out on your own, we all need someone to talk to occasionally.

You may choose to talk to a friend, a relation, the Students' Union or one of your lecturers or tutors. But if you would like to speak to someone who is not involved in your personal life or academic work, you can arrange to see and talk to the University of Bolton’s experienced counsellor.

The counsellor is fully trained and the service is totally confidential. He has a special understanding of the problems facing today's students. Even if you're not sure what is troubling you, just call in for a chat - the counsellor can often help pin down the cause of stress or anxiety.

Appointments can be made through the Student Information Service|.
