Accommodation

The accommodation team is here to help students with their accommodation requirements – before they join the University, on arrival and throughout their time in Bolton. The team is based in Student Services|. Tours of the halls of residence, University campus and of Bolton town centre by the student ambassador team are available at the open day| events.

The halls of residence

The University owns and manages two modern, purpose built halls of residence, The Hollins and Orlando Village. Together they provide 700 single study bedrooms, each well furnished and containing carpet, curtains, bed, desk, wardrobe, storage space, easy chair and washbasin. All hall places are offered on a self-catering basis.

Both are close to all the amenities of the town centre and are convenient for rail and road links. You will find disabled students’ facilities, laundries and extensive free car parking at each hall.

Please note that the halls of residence do not provide temporary accommodation. Before moving in all residents enter a 40 week contract with the University which is both legal and binding. If you would like details of temporary accommodation to give you an opportunity to look around for something more permanent, please contact the accommodation team.
