“The courses have a student-centred approach, with personal tutors meeting your individual study needs.”
Work in Health & Social Care and you’ll be making a real difference to some of the most vulnerable people in society. It’s a broad subject area, and includes everything from Early Years Education to End of Life and Palliative Care.
Our Health & Social Care courses are firmly grounded in the needs of the health service. They are a direct response to the requirements of the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework, which means that you’ll be learning everything you need to progress in your chosen career.
The courses are designed for those who are aiming to begin a career in the healthcare sector as well as those already working in the sector, which means you will have the opportunity to study alongside, and collaborate with, students who are already health and social care practitioners.
Career development and employability skills are core elements to our programmes, which include work placements; you will benefit from gaining perspectives from guest speakers, including service providers and users.
The courses have a student-centred approach, with personal tutors meeting your individual study needs. Your work placements will be further enhanced by hands-on experience in the new Bolton One building. This outstanding facility simulates the clinical environment, allowing you to gain experience in a realistic, dynamic and unique way.
