Undergraduate & Postgraduate Open Day:

Sat 30 June 2018

Ask everything & anything!

OK, so by this point you’ve whittled your university choices down (hopefully) and now is the time to visit the universities and ask all of the questions you need to. Open days run from 9am until 3pm with registration open from 8:30am in Chancellor’s Mall.

What information is available on the day?
What happens on the day?

Visiting a university that you are planning to or have already applied to is a brilliant way to get a ‘feel’ for the place, helping you to make a well informed decision when it comes to making your choices.

We hold opportunities to visit the campus regularly throughout the year, from full open days to scaled down course advice days and campus tours. Please choose from the options below for more information.

No matter if it’s about what career you can go into, how far away halls are, what the nightlife is like or even the kind of coffee that’s served here, this is somewhere you’re potentially going to spend a few years studying and living so you want to make sure you are making the right choice.

Nothing compares to that first gut feeling you will have when you’ve found the right place for one of the biggest decisions you’re making so far in your life. We aim to give you a snapshot of what we offer here, a friendly atmosphere and a community feel, we don’t ever want our students to feel lost or nameless. Not forgetting about the less academic aspects of university, making friends, becoming more independent and of course getting involved in societies and making a few career contacts along the way.

Simply book your place and you will receive an email confirming your booking, along with directions and parking instructions. The full programme will be available online approximately two weeks prior, and will also be sent out to you by post.

Can’t attend?

If you can’t make it to an open day we can arrange a campus tour for you. These can be arranged anytime Monday – Friday 9am-5pm to fit in with your schedule, for more information and to book a campus tour, please click here.

I would like to attend a postgraduate open day

Saturday 30 June

Our Postgraduate Open Days and Courses Advice Days offer you the chance to chat individually to tutors from each Faculty and find out more about your course of interest. Faculty tutors will be able to give you detailed information about the course content and the learning and assessment methods used. If you are interested in studying part-time our course tutors will also be able to give you an idea of the hours you will be expected to attend.

You will also have the opportunity to find out more about our campus facilities by taking part in one of our Campus Tours.

Representatives from the disability service, student finance team and careers service are also be on hand to discuss any additional support needs you may have, advise you regarding tuition fees, student finance and funding as well as offer guidance regarding your future career and increasing your employability.

If you can’t make any of the above dates, then please contact a member of the team about a visit to the University.
