Welcome to the University of Bolton Mentoring Academy.
The Academy is open to all new and existing employees and consists of a network of trained mentors who would meet regularly to discuss generic themes.
For Academic employees The Mentoring Academy will provide mentors for employee who are:
New to the university
Undertaking the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education, and/or working towards HEA professional recognition
Undertaking duties that are new to them (including research, writing publications and/or postgraduate research supervision, undertaking TIRI roles).
For Professional Support employees The Mentoring Academy will provide a mentor if they are:
New to role
Undertaking duties that are new to them
Feel they need the support of a mentor to help them progress their professional development.

Training
All successful mentors will be asked to attend UoB Mentoring Academy training before being allocated their mentee.
