As a podiatrist by profession, I worked in a range of roles and settings across the NHS between 1979 and 2005, including quality assurance, before moving into education at the University of Bolton. Initially, as a Learning Facilitator, I worked with students, mentors and employers to ensure that students on the MSc Advanced Practice have successful work-based experiences, whilst supervising dissertations for Masters students. Currently, I am the programme lead for CPD and teach research methodologies.
