Dr Scott Threlfall

Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer

Scott has worked at the University of Bolton (UoB) since 2019 when he joined the education team as Lecturer in Education and Teacher Education. From 2022 onwards, Scott became a Senior Lecturer, now acting as Programme Leader for the Master's in Education pathways at the University.

Before moving to the University of Bolton, Scott worked at Runshaw College for 11 years during which time he taught on academic levels 1 to 7 inclusive.

An experienced educator, Scott has been a programme leader for sports science (BSc), sport coaching (BA), counselling (CPCAB) and more recently, initial teacher education (PGCE) provisions.

Scott currently acts as a peer reviewer for the following two academic journals: Journal of Reflective Practice: International & Multidisciplinary Perspectives, and also for the Journal of Further and Higher Education.

Research interests include reflective practice, teacher noticing, student development, technology enhanced learning, and teaching, learning and assessment.
