Dr Rebecca Woolley

Lecturer

Dr Rebecca Woolley completed an Honours Degree in Pure Mathematics and Economics in 1988 and started teaching mathematics and numeracy in a Further Education setting in 1998. Rebecca moved into Teacher Education 5 years later teaching on both generic and mathematics specialist programmes. She completed a Master’s Degree in Adult Literacy, Numeracy and ESOL in 2010. Her Doctoral research involved working with adult students to develop alternatives to a timed test for adult numeracy/mathematics.

Rebecca is a member of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics, the Higher Education Academy and the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM). She was a Professional Development Lead for the NCETM, delivering the GCSE Mathematics Enhancement Programme. She was also a reviewer of Professional Formation (leading to QTLS) for the Education and Training Foundation between 2011 and 2016.
