Paula qualified from the University of Bradford in 2001 with a BSc in Physiotherapy and has been a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) since qualifying.
With almost 20 years post graduate experience Paula has worked in a variety of settings including for 10 years in the NHS in the East Lancashire NHS Trust initially as a rotational Band 5 and 6 Physio, then specialising in MSK and working as a Band 7 MSK Physio Specialist and Band 7 Physio Team Leader.
Paula has also worked for 5 years in a sport setting within rugby union at Preston Grasshoppers and she has continually worked with a wide variety of patients including professional sports people in private practice for the last 10-15 years.
She ran her own private healthcare practice for the last 8 years.
Paula has studied to Masters level including Injection Therapy training as well as extensive CDP training including APPI Matwork and Equipment Pilates and Acupuncture to assist with her specialist area of interest in managing all elements of simple and complex pain and injuries relating to the Neck and Back.
Paula joined the University of Bolton at the end of 2020 as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation and she is looking forward to sharing all her wealth of knowledge, skills and experience to help teach both BSc and MSc Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation students.
