I first came to Bolton in September 1990 as a lecturer in Biology. I am currently a senior lecturer in Biology with many roles, including Programme Leader for B.Sc. (Hons) Biology, Employability Champion and Health and Safety Coordinator for our subject group. My main areas of expertise are molecular evolution and biochemistry. During my time at Bolton University, I have been a PhD supervisor, an internal and external examiner and have a number of publications. I was involved in the Athena Project, which aims to keep women in science. Prior to coming to Bolton I had a variety of roles including University Research Assistant, Scientific Officer (Christie Hospital, Department of Pathology) and was a teacher/lecturer at several educational establishments in the North West of England.
