Amy Cowen

Lecturer

Amy qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and has over 20 years of experience in private practice. She has experience in various areas of practice including criminal law, and general civil litigation. She went on to specialise in personal injury law, particularly catastrophic injuries. She has experience of litigation for both Claimants and Defendants.

Amy has a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Amy co-presented a paper at The Society of Legal Scholars Annual Conference 2019 entitled: The Attorney General and Contempt of Court – Some political and constitutional questions.

Amy currently teaches the Criminal Law Module.
