Alecea is a lecturer on the Physician Associate MSc programme. She has a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science and MSc in Clinical Chemistry from UWE Bristol.
Alecea previously worked in NHS pathology laboratories, within biochemistry, across the UK for 18 years before discovering the Physician Associate course.
She completed her Physician Associate course in December 2018 and since then has worked in old age psychiatry and in general practice.
Alecea works at the University of Bolton Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and in general practice Thursday and Friday.
She is employed by a primary care network where she is lead Physician Associate. She has a specialist interest in frailty and dementia and is part of the steering group for frailty within the primary care network, as part of her role she looks after 8 care homes within the PCN.
