Are you interested in honing your knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering towards the field of mechatronics?
Our one-year BSc (Hons) Mechatronics is a perfect top-up for students who already have an HND, Diploma of Higher Education or Foundation Degree in a related subject, and want to expand and enhance their understanding of mechatronics and its applications. This course explores in-depth, the intricacies of mechanical systems, smart machines, manufacturing automation, medical equipment, process control, and artificial intelligence.
We focus on introducing students to a more multi-disciplinary context of engineering and its underlying principals; social, environmental, ethical, economic and commercial considerations.
Our teaching staff are active researchers and industry professionals in the industry offering assistance throughout your studies. Many students of this internationally respected course have gone on to have successful careers in research positions associated with mechatronics and its related disciplines.
At the University of Bolton, we are proud to provide excellent facilities and engineering laboratories, as well as a state-of-the-art design studio equipped with the latest software and hardware.
Through the use of case studies, practical laboratory-based work, and problem-solving projects, we nurture our students in the systematic knowledge and understanding of the concepts, theories, science and mathematics that underpin the principals of mechatronics.
