Health and Social Care Students Brave Scary ‘Leap of Faith’ at the Anderton Centre

Final-year BSc Health and Social care students visited outdoor activity charity the Anderton Centre for a short break from dissertations.

Despite the freezing weather, everyone climbed the huge tree to have a go at the 'leap of faith'.

Programme Leader Tracy Corbett said: "The leap at the top to grab the bar is much further and much higher than it looks, especially in the wind!

"If you check out our Instagram page (@uob_health_and_social_care) you might see a video of me being cheered along up the tree by the students. I do jump eventually!"

Students who visited the Centre, which is part of the University of Bolton Group, also took part in a 'crate stack' activity which required them to gradually climb a growing stack of crates, 'Jenga' style. There was also archery and an indoor game of 'robot' wars.

Tracy said: "As well as a lot of fun and laughter, what we were actually doing was putting all the skills we have developed over the last three years into practice, problem-solving, teamwork and communication.

"It's safe to say that we will be back soon! Thanks to all the guys  at the Anderton Centre for such a great time."
