Subject Librarians - What can we do for you?
Our experienced team of Subject Librarians are responsible for identifying and meeting the information needs of academic staff and students within their subject areas.
These responsibilities include enquiry work; selection of books, journals and databases in their subject area, and management of the Library stock. They produce subject specific user guides and crib sheets to help with finding information and keep the subject sections of the Library web pages up-to-date.
The team also offers help with:
- discovering the services the library offers (induction)
- finding and making the most of information (both printed and electronic)
- correct bibliographic citing and referencing
- research skills
- online searching
Please contact the Subject Help team by email SubjectHelp@bolton.ac.uk or telephone 01204 903232, if we can be of any assistance.
Student Liaison Officers - What can we do for you?
The Student Liaison Officers understand what it is like to be a student. We are here to help you make the most of your time whilst you are studying at the University of Bolton. You are welcome to email the team: firstname.lastname@example.org
We offer information, advice and guidance on a wide range of academic and pastoral issues. We also organise the Peer Mentoring Scheme, which is a great source of support to students, and deliver 'Bite Size' Study Skills sessions.
