Clinical background of 13 years within Adult Intensive Care, initially as a staff nurse and progression to Sister. An academic background of 5 years, initially as a lecturer in nursing education, then Programme Lead of the Part Time Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship programme, and now School Apprenticeship Manager.

Main responsibilities include recruitment for apprenticeship programmes within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, alongside ensuring quality and compliance with apprenticeship standards and regulatory bodies.

Academic Qualifications:
• Diploma in Professional Studies of Nursing (2004)
• BSc (Hons) Enhancing Professional Healthcare Practice: Clinical (2017)
• Post Graduate Certificate – Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education (2020)
• Masters Teaching and Learning (2022)
• Currently undertaking Education Doctorate with a focus on supporting students to develop ability and confidence in maths skills for the nursing profession.
