Mahmood S. H. Karim

Mahmood S. H. Karim is the Minister of Martyrs, Anfal Affairs and Genocide in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). Mr. Karim holds a Political Science degree from the University of Sulaimani. In 2014, he became the Head of the High Committee for the recognition of genocide committed against Yezidis and other religious and ethnic minorities. He represents the KRG government to inform the international community on the crimes of genocide committed against Kurdish people. He has spoken to audiences internationally and regularly at the United Nations.

Sherri Kraham Talabani

Sherri Kraham Talabani is the President and Executive Director of the Kurdistan-based SEED Foundation and U.S.-based SEED for Change, non-profit organizations that promote social, educational, and economic development in Kurdistan, with a particular focus on the rehabilitation of Yazidi communities in the KRG and wider Iraq. For almost fifteen years, from 1998 – 2012, Sherri worked at the US Department of State. A lawyer by training, she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1999 from George Mason University School of Law. She has received multiple awards from several U.S. Secretaries of State and awarded DevEx’s ‘Top 40 Under 40’ Leaders in International Development.

Dr Alexander Korb

Dr Alexander Korb is the Deputy Director of the Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at School of History, Politics and International Relations, University of Leicester. He is the author of two books, In the Shadow of World War: Ustaša Mass Violence against Serbs, Jews, and Roma in Croatia 1941–1945 (Hamburger Edition, 2013); German Reactions towards the November Pogromes, (Saarbrücken: VDM, 2008) and a significant number of articles and book chapters.

H.E Mr. Karwan J. Tahir

H.E Mr. Karwan J. Tahir has served as the KRG High Representative to the UK since June 2015. He previously served as a senior Adviser to the Ministry of Natural Resources, at the KRG Council of Ministers from 2004-2007.
