Health is everywhere and it is the responsibility of everyone, from the individual, family, and community to the professionals in the field.
The University of Bolton, with the active participation of local Health and Social Care services and organisations and the local community, have a passion
for contributing to and promoting health and wellbeing initiatives in Bolton.
The Bolton Health Mela is a unique festival celebrating community health and wellbeing, building a reputation for excellence in health promotion. It pays attention to issues around health, care and wellbeing, promotes avenues of empowering and enabling people from all backgrounds to identify necessities and risk factors to work on to improve quality of life among the local community.
Various health and social care practitioners will be available on the day to offer advice and conduct health checks, to promote local services supporting health and wellbeing. Most importantly to help individuals to make positive changes to their lifestyle which can improve long term health.
