At the University of Bolton we have a ‘Teaching Intensive, Research Informed’ ethos. This means we aspire to offer postgraduate student-focused courses that inform best practice in teaching and learning, underpinned by the research knowledge of our high quality staff.
This course aims to stimulate your interest in the process of teaching and supporting learning in the context of your professional practice role, whilst improving your knowledge and skills. This will involve engagement with a broad range of educational theories and approaches to student learning. You’ll use reflection with and support from your peers, mentors and tutors, drawing from and focusing on work-based experiences to share and explore the most effective techniques and methodologies. There will also be the opportunity to network with a range of teaching professionals online.
Our welcoming team of experienced, professionally and academically qualified, staff will cover topics that include formative and summative assessment, the use of information technology, and inclusion.
