Technology and globalisation have radically altered the way in which organisations operate. More logistics professionals than ever before are needed to keep the wheels of business turning. We’ll support you to enhance your existing Foundation Degree or HND-level knowledge and skills, ready to achieve the status of BSc (Hons) Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCSM) Top-up graduate.
We aim to educate multi-talented supply chain professionals and executives who can take a ‘big picture’ view of commerce, and the role their organisation plays within a collaborative network. Our dedicated and experienced staff will support you to develop Honours-level skills and knowledge through our focused final-year LSCM programme. Building on your prior studies, we’ll guide you as you gain knowledge of procurement management, omni-channel retailing, and research. You’ll explore project management tools, techniques and tactics, and investigate the strategies that can be employed to increase sustainability in supply chains.
Our dedicated team of experienced LSCM professionals and academics will support you to develop career and life skills, such as leadership, strategic thinking, team management and professional communication. These enhance your employability, maximising your potential for success in this fast-moving global industry.
The programme is designed to comply with the professional body requirements of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).

Globalisation has created considerable opportunities for logistics and supply chain managers within organisations of all sizes and in all industries. There’s currently a shortage of skilled professionals within logistics and supply chain management, which is leading to competitive salaries and above-average pay increases. The UK average salary for all procurement and supply chain professionals is £45,159 according to the CIPS/Hays salary survey results*.
As a graduate, you will have tremendous opportunities awaiting you, whether you choose to focus upon logistics, operations, strategy, information technology or another aspect of the profession. The programme is intended to assist you in the pursuit of a managerial career in supply chain management, enabling you to develop professionally and operate effectively within a wide range of business environments.

Lectures are used to introduce the core course content, while seminars allow you to explore subjects in greater detail. Tutorials offer space for you to ask any questions you have, ensuring you understand the topics covered in the lectures and seminars. We use case studies to help you learn to apply academic theory to real-life practical scenarios, allowing you to gain insights into contemporary practice in working logistics and supply chain management environments. You’ll also be expected to undertake considerable guided independent study; for instance, library research and background reading, preparing for seminar and tutorial activities and working on assignments.
Guest lectures and presentations by a variety of visiting speakers from relevant employment areas will offer you the chance to further develop your knowledge and understanding.
In terms of assessment, you can expect time constrained exams, essays, reports, presentations, portfolios, and others. These contribute to your final marks and allow you to demonstrate that you’ve met the learning outcomes.
We also use other forms of assessment to help you learn, provide you with feedback and inform your development, though these do not count towards your final marks. You’ll also receive feedback on assessment drafts. These will help to identify any areas which would benefit from extra attention on your part, or where you need extra support from your tutor.
